The Snow Removal Technician is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow and ice removal from various surfaces, including parking lots, driveways, and walkways. This role involves operating snow removal equipment, performing manual labor, and applying de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup during winter weather conditions. The position may require working in harsh weather conditions during early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in snow plowing, salting, and shoveling. Proficient with snow removal equipment such as snowplows, skid-steer loaders, snow blowers and salt spreaders. Familiarity with winter weather safety, ice control, and safe driving in snow or icy conditions. Understanding the best practices for effective snow clearing, salting, and de-icing. Ability to work overnight shifts or long hours in cold, challenging conditions. Ability to lift heavy equipment or materials. Reliability and Punctuality. Snow removal work is often weather dependent and needs to be completed promptly. Attention to detail. Ensuring thorough snow and ice removal. Ability to work independently or as a team member.
Responsibilities: (These duties are not just limited to the above; they will also include any area where Miller Creek needs assistance.)
Responsible for ensuring that clients' properties are cleared of snow and ice promptly and effectively, ensuring their safety and accessibility during the winter months. This position may transition between full and part-time hours depending on weather conditions, with on-call availability being required for the role. Clearing snow and ice from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, and other designated equipment. Operating snow plows, salt spreaders, and other machinery efficiently and safely. Fixing specified equipment on an as-needed basis. Maintaining a high level of awareness for potential hazards and risks during snow removal activities. Working in a team to ensure timely completion of snow removal tasks, particularly during heavy snowfall or adverse weather conditions. Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and injuries. Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
Job Type: Full & Part-time (Seasonal)
Salary: $30/hour Benefits: Referral program Refer someone who you believe is good for the company and receive $300 once they have been with the company for more than 3 months. OT Pay 1 & ½ pay after 40 hours/week - Overtime hours regularly available. Minnesota Sick & Safe time: 1hr for every 30 hours worked. Schedule: 6-12 hour shift Day & Night shift Monday - Sunday
