Fireplace Service Technician - Duluth Stove & Fireplace

We are seeking a full time Service Technician staff at our Duluth, MN location. Experience in a related field is a plus, but EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED, as we will provide training and certification to the right individual. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•    Perform basic fireplace/hearth product maintenance tasks for existing fireplaces for residential & commercial customers.
•    Provide bench tech services for customer in-shop items.
•    Manage parts and tools needed for service and repairs.
•    Communicate with builders and homeowners in a clear and professional manner.
•    Provide customer service both in person and by phone.
•    Contribute to day-to-day customer service goals and activities.

 
SKILLS NEEDED:
•    High school diploma/GED.
•    Ability to learn product lines and consultative techniques to recommend products and accessories to customers.
•    Previous technician experience preferred, but will train the right candidate.
•    Basic math skills.
•    Mechanical experience or good mechanical aptitude.
•    Comfortable with a variety of hand tools and a mechanical mindset.
•    Attention to detail and focus on quality work.
•    Ability to make repair/replace decisions with proper training.
•    Ability to read job instructions and record materials & activities performed on work orders.
•    Ability to maintain both a service-professional and customer-focused attitude.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
•    Valid driver’s license with a commercially insurable driving record.
•    Must be able to bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist and knees to handle, service, and install products.
•    Must be able to work on feet and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
•    Must be comfortable with using computers and other technology-based tools
