The Arrowhead Builders Association is deeply committed to ensuring the vitality and skill of our local workforce. We know that the strength of our industry tomorrow depends entirely on the dedicated young people entering the trades today. That's why we proudly continue to support and promote the Rachel Manley Scholarship Fund.

Named in honor of a local champion for education and career technical training, and late ABA Executive Officer, Rachel Manley, this scholarship is our direct investment in the next generation of skilled builders, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other essential tradespeople right here in the Arrowhead region.

Investing in the Trades: The Scholarship Details

Each year, the ABA will award three $1,000 scholarships to deserving young people who are pursuing a career in the building trades and construction industry.

Who is Eligible?

The Rachel Manley Scholarship is open to individuals who are planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in a post-secondary, vocational, technical, or trade program (including apprenticeships and certificate programs) that directly supports a career in the building industry.

Priority Consideration

In recognition of the hard work and dedication of our member companies, priority consideration will be given to the children or dependents of active Arrowhead Builders Association members. This scholarship is one way we give back to the families that form the foundation of our organization and our local economy.

Where the Funds Come From: Our Signature Events

The Rachel Manley Scholarship is funded directly by the generosity and community spirit displayed at our two most popular annual events. When you participate in, sponsor, or attend these signature gatherings, you are directly contributing to the education and career success of our future trades leaders.

1. The DuWayne Lenius Golf Classic

Our annual golf tournament brings together members and friends of the ABA for a day of networking and friendly competition. A portion of the proceeds generated by sponsorships and participation fees at the DuWayne Lenius Golf Classic is dedicated to funding the Rachel Manley Scholarships.

By registering a team or sponsoring a hole, you are doing more than just playing a round of golf or promoting your business—you are building careers.

2. Shoot for the Future Clay Shoot

This event offers an opportunity for members to gather for sport and camaraderie while raising essential funds. A portion of the proceeds from the Shoot for the Future Clay Shoot is specifically earmarked for the Rachel Manley Scholarship Fund, ensuring we have the resources needed to support three ambitious students every year.

Every target you hit helps a young person achieve their educational goals in the trades.
